I have been looking for a bit to get a C7 since selling my C5. Have it down to 2 that are close to me.
2016 Stingray 2LT 43k miles M7
2014 Stingray 3LT Z51 A6 18k miles
Can purchase either car for right at $45k. Is this reasonable for either? How is A6 in the 14?
Lifters and new AC were done in the 2016 recently. Thanks for any advice!
Personally, between the two I'd go with the 2014 IF the 3LT dash is not delaminating. If it hasn't delaminated yet it most likely will not. Ironically, in spite of it being the first model year of the C7, it's arguably the most issue free of the entire C7 run.
The A6 in the 2014's was a good transmission and pretty much issue free.
I'd prefer the fewer miles on the 2014 opposed to 2 years newer for a 2016. And would prefer an issue/repair free C7 to one with the degree of work performed on the 2016.

If you have driven a manual sports car in the past...you may miss it. I did that once going to an auto, and regretted it not long afterwards. My 3x Vette's over almost 40 years have been a C3 M4, C5 M6 and now C7 M7. Good luck!

Dash is good! Checked on that immediately. Also has all the pedigree with it. Sticker, manual etc.
I am biased; I have a 2014 Z51 M7. I drive it on the street, no track.. The Z51 really offers a lot of bang for the buck. Also what you often find is that magnetic ride was ordered with the Z51 package.
By 2014 the problems with the 6L80 have been flushed out. It should serve the Corvette well.
M7 is definitely fun to drive and play around with.
what are the exterior and interior colors of both?
I agree manual is fun for sure. Color is white with red interior. Black wheels. Competition seats. MSRP was just over $80k. Has most if not all options so it seems.
I would have to go with the 2016 with the M7, but with the work done on it I would be a bit concerned. So in my case I would pass on the 2014 as there is no way I want an A6 in a Corvetre, that being said due to my concerns with the work done on the 2016 I would keep looking. Bottom line if you are okay with the work on the 2016 that is the one to purchase.
I have a 2016 Roadster, Z51, 3LT, with many options and I really like it i started with 16,000 miles and now have 24,000+.
I like the front camera, the Android Auto, also has Apple Play. I have updated the A8 with the Tranny Flush and upgraded the Magnetic Ride Control. The coolent, brakes have been flushed, and the Differential has had the fluid checked.
I recently did an appraisal (last week) at Carmax and they offered me$43,000 for it.
I would be converned that the 2016 had the valves and the A/C done! That would be a hard pass for me. jmho

Like you I've been looking for some time now for a C7. And the prices you quoted are right in line with what I'm finding, but I've also noticed that prices are softening. My search is pretty much countrywide looking for the right car. I have many web sites flagged to notify me when the prices drop. I seem to be getting those notices everyday. I have no idea where the bottom is, but I would imagine they will continue to drop until closer to spring. I'm a cash buyer, so interest rates and other factors don't affect me. Good luck on your decision. Oh, I would lean toward the '14 because of the 3LT/Z51 and mileage, but of course I haven't personally seen it.

I agree that prices are softening. I’m looking country wide as well but nice to see a few in my backyard. Good luck with your search!
I can't imagine anything more decisive than the trans preference. I love the A8 in my 17 GS... but I drive mine a lot and live in an area with horrendous traffic. As much as I like shifting (this is my first auto sports car), the A8 was really the only choice for me.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
