Sorry, but I stay with OEM... they work fine for me.
Me too.
Knowing about that reddish-brown dust that comes off the stock Z51 pads, we bought our car in Long Beach Red.
The dust makes the wheels and even the tires a perfect match for the rest of the car. Beautiful!
Yea, yea I know it's an old beaten down topic but after doing several searches I figure I just put it out there again. Called my local dealer this morning to check on price and availability of replacement Brembo brake pads for my '17 Grand Sport, $566.69 for the front and $309.46 for the rears. Okay I gotta believe that somewhere somebody sells the OEM pads aside from the Chevy dealers, any suggestions as to who might have them for less? I know there are aftermarket companies that sell non-Brembo's and others sell ceramic, I have a set of ceramics on the car now, they're not doing it for me. So any pointers to where/who has them would be appreciated, thank-you.
It appears there's an issue with PM's. I've responded to you twice but cannot see them in the PM folder so not sure you're recieving them. Give me a shout if you're still interested.
So I replaced the original Brembo pads on my 17 GS last summer with Powerstop Z26's because of the excessive brakedust on my all black, including wheels, car. I can't say I notice much difference in braking ability (good thing) but I don't push the car that hard, I guess. No squeaking or other functional issues and the brakedust decreases by a lot -probably close to 90%. However, after about a year of seasonal use, my rotors definitely have a brownish tinge. Not outright brown, but not silvery bare steel like when the factory pads were on the car. It's unattractive enough that I bit the bullet and ordered a set of Carbotech 1521's that will be installed in the next few weeks after the rotors are burnished. I'll try and take good pictures before and after in the same light and the same angle to the sun to show the difference. Not badmouthing Powerstop since many are very happy with them, but the discoloration doesn't work for me. The rotors are way too exposed with the factory GS wheels to not look crisp and new. Just sharing my experience, YMMV
Just a heads up on Carbotech 1521, mine sucked when wet, after washing the car or out on the road in the rain. They required pumping several times to effectively slow the car down. I went back to Brembos. I still have my 1521’s in a box if you want them make me an offer, thanks.

Sorry you had that experience. My 1521s work perfectly in rain or sun and I've got no dust nor discoloration of the rotors.
