Never had problems in any of my three C5s and none in my C7. I run a bottle of Techron in the gas about twice a year which may have something to do with it.

No such problems with my 2008 C6, 2015 C7 and my present 2019 all of which were purchased new and owned for 4+ years or so.

I put fuel pumps in my 07 at 132,000 (did it myself) just for peace of mind. No problems at all. Traded it at 177,000.

I would like to know if the problems are more prominent on the garage queens, barely driven cars versus the regular or daily driven cars? I drive mine about 400 miles a week. Only snow and ice keep me off the roads.

Regards, Jeff

No on my 2006 or the 2019. Maybe some cleaner added monthly has helped me?

I have always run gas in my cars and no additives so maybe they are also good because that has something to do with it?

The goal of this poll was to try and determine if the sensor problem is fixed
GM never actually admitted it was a problem as that might have forced a recall to fix every one.

Yes, I have a fuel level. I try and keep it at full, just in case an interesting ride is an option.

The only fuel quantity sensor issue is that on my '17 the fuel level dropped fairly uniformly with miles driven. In my '19 the level lives near full for some distance then at about 2/3 full, it starts dropping like a rock, running from half to near empty in less than 100 miles. Only after doing a couple of manual mileage checks was I able to get comfortable with its behavior.

Edit: I misvoted by accident. Now the poll is ruined. Sorry

The gas gauge stopped working on my 2014 back in the summer of 2019. Turned out to be a sensor in the "B" tank. The onstar app would show me the fuel level but the gauge would not work. It took one week and they had to take damn near the entire back of the car apart. GMEPP sent a rep to the dealer to prove it was the sensor and apparently it was so they approved the work. Total cost was $2200 including a 4 wheel alignment completely paid by GMEPP. Now this summer (2022) it stopped working again only this time it's intermittent. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and always throws a check engine light at the same time. Always shows tank "B" sensor. Dealer says they haven't seen this problem on any other C7. Now I can't use the onstar app to check the gas level anymore because the car is 2G and the app no longer works. I wonder why the onstar app would show the gas level but the gauge won't. In the spring I'll have to have it replaced again.
