This may have been coverd before but for those who do not know there is a video online to change the bulb going through the wheel well. No need to remove the bumber. It is on the CarKiosk sight.
Thanks for posting the link. I just watched the video.
Even though it suggests removing the wheel, it sure looks easier than pulling the lamp from my other vehicles.

Had my Vette tech replace mine, he didn't know about the wheel well access. By the way, you might want to replace both as my new one didn't match brightness.
If you look at the video someone posted about removing the bumper and replacing the bulb it is a nightmare. There are about 50 screws and push pins. Then you have to take care about scratching the paint when you remove the bumper and then the headlight assembly scratching as well. Please see the link below he shows you step by step how to do it. With all those screws who knows where they go back. Looking at his video when he shows you the removed headlight housing then you can see exactly where to reach it thru the wheel well.
Does anyone know a mechanic that has gotten to the bulb by the fender liner? Guys have looked at this before and concluded it does not give access to the bulb. THe videos show him sticking his hand in behind the fender liner but it doesn't show me that he changed the bulb. THe views of him changing the bulb are those of a pulled light pod and that sure as hell didn't come through the fender liner access.
I'm still having doubts on this. It would be great to be able to do it as I've had that damn front clip off a couple of times and it's not at the top of my fun things to do list.
I posted a second link. If you look at the removed headlight assembly in the YouTube video and see where the bulb is located, then you should be able to see it when you look into the wheel well as well and proceed to remove the old bulb as shown in the YouTube video.

I agree with you. I watched the video 2 times and it doesnt show how they got the bulb out. Its not that difficult taking the bumper cover off. I have removed my bumper before. I could do the cover R&R in 1 hour.
I want to believe this works... but there are multiple threads on here saying the only way to get to the bulbs is the remove the bumper. One of the steps to removing the bumper is to remove the fender liner anyway. Here's a thread from a little while back that shows the hole behind the headlight isn't large enough to reach the bulb. If it's anything like when I replaced the headlight lenses on my C6, removing the bumper really isn't that difficult. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ispreloading=1

Yep, after following the link sjw91 points to, I agree, it appears changing the bulb from the inner fender may be more difficult than first thought. But I'm still not sure whether I would enlarge the hole or just pull the bumper. I really don't like cutting into the liner to save time, but GM could have been more thoughtful by enlarging the hole.
As others have suggested, I believe it is best to change both lamps at the same time.
Below is a screen shot from a very short youtube video
SO get the wheel and fender liner out of the way and then cut a hole in some plastic liner to get at the bulb? Sorry, that does not appeal to me as a good thing to do. I wonder what that liner is for? Water hitting the light pod? Some aerodynamic seal for the air flow in the engine bay?
Looks like I'll be taking the nose off if another bulb goes bad.
