Just noticed some coolant dripping out of this tube connected to the coolant tank. Have never seen anything from here before.
Car hasn’t been driven much lately and temps have been in the 50’s.
I'm not that familiar with the C7 and I don't have it with me at this moment so I can't say. That said, some cars have an expansion tank for when it gets too much pressure and it flows into the expansion tank. When the pressure is lower after it cools down, it sucks the coolant back. Could that be it?

Could be but I’ve never seen anything here over the past 2 years.
I think you’re right but I’m wondering why it hasn’t done it before. I’ll just keep a closer eye on it and see what happens.
Thanks amigo!
Maybe the condition wasn't right? Not sure but I would check the cap out and see if it holds the correct amount of pressure. Maybe coolant is getting past because it doesn't hold pressure as well as it used to?

I had this problem and found that making sure that the coolant tank is not filled over the fill mark when the engine is cold has (thus far) eliminated the problem. The full mark is very difficult to see and takes some searching with a good flashlight. It's further down the side of the tank than you would expect.

Thanks for the tip. You’re right, it’s tough to see and I noticed it’s slightly overfilled.
I replaced the cap today just to eliminate that possibility so I’ll keep watching and see what happens.

There's another possibility and is actually where I started with this problem. When I first saw the little pools of antifreeze on the garage floor right where the passenger side door meets the front fender, I did some internet research. Turns out that a few others were having the same problem and had tracked it to the hose that comes up to the reservoir from the water pump. It ends there with a 90 degree fitting that fits over a barbed connection on the bottom of the reservoir. I was just able to slip my hand under the reservoir and sure enough, the hose was wet at that location. In the end, I took it to the dealer. They said it was a cracked reservoir. I put on a new reservoir myself and it was then it stopped leaking although I never found a crack in the old reservoir. I still think that the old reservoir was overfilled and when I replaced it and I put the proper amount of coolant in the new one. The issue of the of the 90 degree fitting at the end of the hose still makes me wonder, although I did not replace it. GM, in their infinite wisdom has it such that you cannot buy just the fitting but must purchase the entire hose assembly at $200-$300. As aside to this, is that there was one person on this forum who had come by some of the fittings and was selling or giving them to others who had the problem. I tried contacting him but never got an answer. Good luck with it. It was a real PITA for me and I still look under the car every time I get ready to go somewhere.
Mine either until now. Ordered a new cap for the reservoir & will continue to monitor.
Bingo ..... if it's never done it before and it has not been topped off lately then the cap is not holding preasure .... which if left will eventually cause it to run hot as the coolant needs to be under pressure, running just a bit hotter than normal , almost undectable leads to the "puking" that you are seeing

Thanks Dave. Hopefully this will be the correct “cure”. I’ll keep an eye on everything and report back to everybody.
