Default Driver seat question...

I am considering to buy either a 2014 or 2016 Stingray Convertible.
I am a 6ft tall guy with 33" inseam, well with the shoes make it 6'1" & 34".

I've found even at the maximum backwards position and backrest slanted at the maximum angle still my legs are a little cramped position at the knees. I don't know if I will get used to it or if it will bother me after owning one of these cars?
I am sure for a ride to a destination 1 or 2 hr away I can manage. But it seems a longer 3+ hr or so rides will not be too much fun in that cramped position.

My question; Is it possible to alter the limit of the bottom portion of the seat goes back maybe another 2 inch or so ?

Thank you,

I am 6' 3", 34" inseam, and have a 2016. I do not have seat all the way back. I have it about an 1 1/2 from full stop. I do not have a problem.

The comfort of the seat is a different problem. I have to have a non-slip cushion, in addition to the seat, if I am going to drive more than two hours.

I'm 6'3", 195 lbs. with a 32-34 inseam. I find it somewhat cramped compared to my other cars, but several hours behind the wheel are not an issue. Seat as far back as possible and as low as possible while stll supporting the leg/ thigh area.

6' 2", 34" inseam, 195 lbs. I'm totally comfortable in our 2015, even on long (5 hour+) drives.

The comfort level sitting inside the car may be totally different for each individual. If you are not sure about how you will feel after an extended drive in the car, perhaps before you buy you should see about renting a C7 for a day, take a nice long drive with the seat set in various positions and then determine if the car will be right for you. You sure do not want to make a mistake in buying the car then hate driving it for a longer period of time.

Im the same dimensions as the OP. If you recline the seat it limits how far back it goes. There is a mod you can do to push it back further. I believe its by removing the sensor behind the seat on the bulkhead. Might want to search for that.

I’m 6’4”, 220 with a 36” inseam. I have a 2019 with competition seats. I fit better in this corvette and it’s more comfortable than other sports cars and my 1966 and 1969.

I think they provide a bit more legroom, but you should sit in and drive a few to figure out what works best for you.

I'm exactly the same size...have taken my 2019 on a 4 hour round trip with no comfort issues. My C5 I think had a little bit more space, but the difference is not huge. It's light years more comfortable than my C3 with thin non-reclining seats and a clutch pedal that was several inches closer than the gas & brake...and a non-hydraulic clutch that required a lot of leg power to operate!

Well gentlemen, first of all thank you for your responses and NOW my wife says "see you need to be 195lbs to be comfortable". That means I need to lose 55 lbs and she's only serving me salad now.
Thanks a lot!!!

Kidding aside, possibly for just a momentary sitting inside the C7's driver seat made me feel like I am in a tight squeeze race car cockpit-like feeling. Possibly on the road it'll be a different experience than that and i am sure I'll get used to it. Thanks.
