I had my 2019 z06 tested for emissions compliance in IL today. It passed, but they accidentally inserted 91,000 miles instead of 9,100. And now, of course, they won't answer the phone or chat log.
I considered going back to the emissions test location, but I doubt they are going to be able to adjust the prior test result. Thoughts on how to fix this? Seems like I am going to be stuck with an "odometer discrepancy" on any future carfaxes.

I would get this taken care of immediately. Yes being it is a state facility, it will go directly to Carmax and then good luck trying to explain this in the future.
Thanks, this was the right answer, even though I was trying to avoid going back to the testing facility. I went back and they fixed it without much fuss, and they printed me a new emissions test receipt. Hopefully it won't show up on Carfax, but at least I will have the corrected receipt if it does.
Searching I found this paragraph with a phone number. If you haven't already tried that number perhaps it will help: For the status of Illinois Air Team emissions testing locations, please visit the Illinois Air Team website. You may also click the link to see a List of Stations and wait times. If you have questions, call the Air Team Call Center at 844-258-9071.
I also found this page which allows comments (link at bottom). If you haven't already tried that chat perhaps it will help: https://illinoisairteam.net/comments/

Great that the testing location fixed the odometer error. I can understand your concern about it showing up on CarFax, but like you said, you have documentation about the true mileage.
Hope they annotated the new emission report that an error was made and the new one supersedes it, just in case CarFax gets their hands on the earlier report.

Wait a bit then check Carfax, If it shows the error, contact them and ask them to correct it. I had a similar issue once, and with documentation Carfax fixed it quickly with no hassle.

Where in IL do you live? I lived in IL for 10 years, from 2006 thru 2016. I never once had to have ANY of my cars emissions tested, at any time, not even my corvette.
I emailed the two contacts online and received the following responses. We should be in good shape.
"It would appear that you had this rectified quickly. Carfax runs periodic checks so the correction should be picked up by them and any other reporting agency checking. Hang on to your corrected report. We do not report to these agencies, they access that information through the Freedom of Information Act. Our apologies for the initial error. Regards, Illinois Air Team"
"Your correction will be picked up when the car reporting agencies run their checks on the vehicle record and you may be able to supply them a copy of your corrected report also. We can have no contact with car reporting agencies."
I bought my 14 from Vroom 2 years ago with 4900 miles on it. The carfax report on their site should a similar error by DMV, and I believe it was also in IL. Looks like an inspection was done at 4000 miles and they entered 40,000 miles. When I took delivery first thing I did before the car came off the trailer was look at the engine hours. doing the math the car showed a little over 100 hours, which came out to about 39 MPH average speed. If it had 40,000 miles in 100 or so hours would have been ridiculous like almost 400 MPH average. SO I knew the mileage was correct at 4900. SO after I had it registered and inspected in NY I did a carfax on it last fall and the 41,000 mile error ws no longer showing on carfax. So I guess they realize this happens and they correct on their own???
