I have a 2016 Stingray. Last week while driving, I got a message on the dash to open and close the drivers side window, which I did. A short time later, another message for the passenger side window. I’ve never seen that before. My engine light came on and the car killed. For a short time, the emergency flashers wouldn’t work. Twenty minutes later it started, and I brought it to the dealer. Everything worked fine for the dealer, and after 3 days they gave up. They have no idea. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Thanks in advance.
I disconnected my battery to install the Soler throttle body and controller. When I hooked it back up I got the same messages but none after that.
When you disconnect the battery for ANY reason, you MUST Re-index the windows. Refer to your owner's manual for the proper procedure for your model year. I have the 2014

Window Indexing and
Express-Up Reset
Window indexing may be required if the vehicle battery has been
recharged or disconnected, or is not
working. Express-up and the
convertible top will not function until
the windows are reset. After battery
power is restored, a message or
code displays in the Driver
Information Center. See Driver
Information Center (DIC) on
page 5-23.
Once power is restored:
1. Close the doors.
2. Start the vehicle.
3. Hold the window switch up to the
fully closed position.
Thanks everyone! I will check the battery and connections and let you know. I remembered that the battery was disconnected at one time not too long ago.
I think my problems are more serious. The dealer can't figure it out, and now it is doing other things. The electric power steering is working when the car is off and the tail lights and headlights on the passenger side are out.
Replace the battery. Mine started doing that, but it showed good during testing and it had enough juice to power on lights, etc... No issues after replacing the battery and it starts much better now.
I suspect the battery. I pried the top off of it and checked the specific gravity with a hydrometer and got readings that were on the low side of acceptable and inconsistent. one of the cells was low on fluid and this is a new delco battery. I installed an Optima battery, indexed the windows and so far everything works as it should. Intermittent internal short? maybe
