I used to spend a ton of money on Lexol leather cleaner/conditioner, 303 Automotive Leather 3-In-1 Complete Care, Zaino leather products, Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather 3-in-1 formula, Leatherique Prestine clean, AC Delco/GM Fluid 88861406 Leather and Vinyl Conditioner, etc,
No matter what I used, it seemed to make the leather show signs of aging on my Cadillac XLR.
However, when I purchased my C7, I read excellent advice on this forum to Mix up 10:1 (10 water:1 Woolite) in a squirt bottle.
The seats are already coated. You don't want to use a harsh cleaner to strip the factory leather coating. You also don't want to use a conditioner, because it makes the seats sticky/tacky- which creates more wear on the leather as you slide in and out.
I've been using this Woolite technique and my seats still look BRAND NEW after almost 8 years and almost 40k miles. It's important to routinely vacuum your seats to remove any grit, sand, or dust that will damage the leather on the seats.
I thought i had read on here once that Tadge said to simply wipe your seats (and dash if applicable) down with a damp warm microfiber cloth. Perhaps someone else has a better memory than me.
What leather cleaner is being recommended for C7 seats? Road & Track says Weiman Leather Cleaner is the best.
If you have the 1LT/2LT leather it's "Mulan" leather which not great and it is sealed/processed leather. No product will do anything for it. For this, follow the manual recommendations and just give it a wipe down with a damp cloth. If it's a 3LT it has Nappa Leather. Not sure if it's a sealed leather, so check that out. Bottom line, don't overspend on leather products that may not do anything to preserve the seats until you fully understand what you're working with!
The "leather" is sealed, your conditioners and cleaners won't make actually contact with the material under it, instead you might wear it out and cause the "leather" to be exposed which will then cause issues.
Water is all thats required to clean the interior to get rid of dust and dirt.

That is all i do for the C7. For the C5 i have conditioner, don't believe those were sealed but i could be wrong?

Follow the owner's manual - all I use is a damp cloth to get any dirt off the seats.
