From my understanding, the term "dipped" only applies to the C8. Those cars have the same uniform color on the dash, headliner, trim, carpets, etc.
The only C7 that had an almost fully dipped option- would be the very rare Brownstone 3LT. Even the Spice Red and Twilight Blue design packages had black carpets.
Some folks on this Forum complained about windshield glare for the C7 3LT with non-black upper dashes, so this could be why the change was made on the C7 for later model years. Fully Dipped C8 Brownstone C7 Brownstone C7 Twilight Blue C7 Spice Red C7
