How many C7 owners have installed Blockit mat in their cars?
What are your opinions about this product?
I’m thinking of buying it and installing it under the rear compartment mat in my Coupe
Manage expectations. If you’re expecting a night and day change, you won’t get it.
In my pseudo scientific before/after testing I got maybe 1-2-db drop in noise at only certain frequencies. To my actual ears, the difference was almost imperceptible. This is with stock widebody tire sizes in the Super Sports. Perhaps a Stingray rolling on all seasons might see a bigger difference?
But, it’s reasonably cheap and easy to take out if I need to (drop weight for racing). So it was worth it for me.
I have installed it, and as posted, it slightly reduces overall noise. There is still tire noise due to the short distances from the tires to the cabin.
I found it useful in lowering the low frequency drumming from the cargo floor bouncing off the rear window. Glad I got it.
I have both Crazy Cowboy insulation and blockit and it's still noisy. Thinking about changing to non runflats. I ran them in the C5 for over 60k even driving on gravel roads with no issue.

Non runflats will help a lot.
How much do you thing the Crazy Cowboy kit helped?
Not to hijack the thread, but as a PSA I was agnostic on runflat/non runflat tires till a sidewall split on a 4000 mile runflat tire late on a Saturday night on a sparsely traveled mountain road 40 miles from home with 0 - 1 cel phone bars. After driving home and then to Discount Tire on Monday to replace the tire, I became a ZP true believer, and will live with any additional noise they produce.
I have it in mine and can't tell the difference. My wife thinks she can, but I think it's just purchase bias on her part.
Whenever she buys something she tends to want to "think" its the best regardless if it is or isn't. I never say anything. As they say. Happy wife. Happy life.
I think it makes a noticeable but small diff in my C7 ZO6. To do this right, you have to remove seats and carpet and cover everything in noise reduction mat. I've tried several brands and found the best to be Siless two layer.
The installation is a royal pain - prob takes a long weekend - but the results are worth it.
There are a couple of You Tubes on the install. Watch them before you start.
There is a good video on sound deadening on Youtube. I used it and I added a full bill of materials to do it in the comments. (mine is a convertible not a coupe).
If you do that the temperature and sound is improved. Is the sound night and day difference? No but is certainly improved.
I had the Original Block-it in my C6 and now using it in my C7.
IMO I noticed it takes the edge off the noise.
I also put a layer of 1/4 inch Blue foam in the C7 under the Block-it which helped slightly more.
Bottom line, its not a cure all.
Only way to reduce the noise dramatically, is with the Crazy Cowboy option, or material/s of the same and DIY.

Didn't you get to do a comparison of new runflats vs new non-runflats on one of your 'vettes?
Results?
