I concur, there is always something better coming out just around the corner. Some manufacturers do a better job than others in providing firmware updates to keep your hardware current.

My remote detector is the Net Radar DSP. Radenso makes a good one too. I like the small remote display of the Radenso detector. Escort also makes a remote detector. The Uniden R9 is, or will be, a new product. I do not know if Uniden has released the R9 yet.

You could check the for sale parts section? For a used Blendmount? That is where I got mine.Had it for 3yrs.Still doing it's job.Purchased the wire tap from the website.Took 2 taps.
Broke the first one.It was tight used needlenose pliers,Snap.Freed up the hole a bit with a small screwdriver on the 2nd. one.
There is one for sale now, right this second.Make sure of fitment per detector on there website.

So I know this guy who got pinched in upstate NY. 128 in a 65. Had to slow down for a curve (was going 142), Anyway, It's a mandatory 11 point ticket and 1 year license revoked. Probably thousands in fines. Hell, could have gotten arrested on the spot and car impounded

Legend says he got a $300 fine and 4 points. And no action against license, not even a suspension. It's all about finding the right lawyer and this is proof.

Disclaimer.... I am not saying this was me. Or was it?

Don't all C7s have what I call the cigarette lighter? I plug my V1 in the socket and then put it under the mirror. I don't have a convertible I guess someone could reach in and take it if the top was down

No one wants that ugly wire hanging down and fouling up the beautiful interior aesthetics of their C7! The nerve…

I wound up, for now, with a $30 suction mount from Amazon. It came with a Valentine style clip and a double articulations arm. Great value, Chinese of course. I put it on my windshield all the way to the left so it doesn’t get in my view. My coil cord plugs into the cig lighter and goes over the steering column and up to the unit. Can’t see it so well fro outside. Looks like a phone/ navigation mount. I am not a fan of Blendmount because it’s too in your face obvious to cops and thieves. I can remove mine in 30 seconds and stow it in the “secret” compartment.
