I found an AWE X pipe last year and installed it. Great piece well made. Car is louder on cold start and sounds amazing under heavy throttle. Has a cleaner note at least to my ears.
I went with this one. with stock NPP it's noticeably better sounding. i went this route as it's one piece unlock the EOS that has a Middle joint that gets clamped. Install was super easy on a lift even after driving the car to my buddies house and doing it while everything was still hot/warm from the drive. 10/10 would buy the same set up again.
I ended up ordering the catback pipe from Speed Engineering. Excellent quality, easy install. Sounds great. It did remove the secondary cats. Fit nicely to my OEM downpipes and to my Corsa axle back system.
Also, it's nice that it's one piece and you don't have to worry about the middle joint like the EOS pipe. You do not need the adjustability of the two piece design. There is plenty if you slide the rear pipes over your axle back system and then tighten your joints at the downpipes prior to tightening the bands at the axle back.
The warning gives it away, when you see this you know you are dropping an emission component (which the secondary cats are, unmonitored of course). Its why those of use who have AWE (including myself) treasure it, the EPA has been cracking down on manufacturers who sell it as a "race only" knowing most people street drive the product.

It's a Federal law that you can't mess with the removal of catalytic converters with a high dollar penalty.. Removing the two rear cats would be difficult to even see if i'm not mistaken. Easy to get away with. That said, if one were to sell the Vette to a person in a state that does vehicle inspections and have a rabid inspector, you might, I say might, have a problem.
Don't hate me, I can't figure out a search to get me the feedback I'm looking for.
Does anyone have feedback (or soundclip) of any aftermarket catback, on a car with longtube headers and catless X-pipe?

I do have a kooks header + off road catless xpipe in stock ready to ship if you want a top of the line upgrade for your C7. Here's an example of what it would sound like:

When I wanted more sound but didnt want to spend a bunch of money because a turbo was in the plans, I just removed the mufflers and made my own pipes to the stock tips. I left all the converters in place. It sounded pretty damn good.
I'm interested in getting a similar setup to you. Is there any droning at highway speeds when the valves are closed? How about when open, how bad is the droning? Sounds like this setup is plenty loud so I'm not too worried about that lol.
I wanted to get catless x-pipes but they were difficult to get in CA. I ended going to a local muffler shop and had them remove my secondary cats. The car sounds great! It similar in tone to the stock exhaust but louder in volume.
