Default Soler Engineering Throttle Controller

Hi All,

As a C7 and C8 owner, I wanted to share a hugely positive experience many of us have been having with Soler Engineering Throttle Controller! If you have never tried this product it can best be described as an acceleration and drivability improvement GAME CHANGER.

Just google and check it out on their website. If you decide to buy it, I will be shocked if you return it under their 30 day no hassle guarantee. It’s genuinely that much fun added to your drive.

For double savings try using code ZERO60 in the Discount box and DLXVETTE for free shipping at checkout. You first must type your email during checkout for the above savings to activate. Enjoy the controller like many of us now are! Well built Soler!

Does the controller affect the “resume” on the cruise? What I mean is does it make it more aggressive when you hit the resume or is it still smooth and gentle?

Regards, Jeff

I have not noticed any effect on cruise control when I engage it or hit resume.

The Soler system is transparent to the car's automation

I have the controller and a Soler ported Throttle body. It is the single best thing I have done for this car. I am used to very revving race engines so I run mine on Ludicrous 7 and freaking love it!

Default Best $200 mod ever did!

I agree that the Soler has been a game changer on a car I already thought was amazing! After using it, I smile every time I accelerate! For $200 and free shipping, using code DLXVETTE its a no brainer must mod!
(no voiding of warranty either)

Happy Mother’s Day to those on this forum!

No, it only manipulates the signal from the throttle pedal. Nothing else is changed.

I have seen the good reviews of Soler here and I am wondering if I should try it? You see, I bought another vendor's TC product some years ago and I was quite happy with it - I thought. But some months later, I started to hear/feel a clunking noise in the drive train at speeds over 45. I thought I was in for an extremely expensive repair. But before I brought it in for diagnosis, I started to disconnect every aftermarket device. Range went first - clunk still there. Then I disconnected the TC I had in there and the clunk went away totally and never returned. Not sure why a TC would cause a clunk over 45. Did not seem to make any difference what setting I had the TC set to, the clunk remained until I totally disconnected it.

Been running a Soler for several months. Other than the initial CEL I cleared it has worked flawlessly.

Anything over about Sport 3 I find is to much like a 2-stroke ON/OFF feeling in my 08 ZO6. Prefer the higher comfort modes for everyday driving. Ludicrous I find to be pretty undriveable.

@faninc Thanks for the coupon codes. Took me a minute to get the free shipping to work (mostly because I’m semi-challenged at times) but just got the Bluetooth controller ordered for $197.50 delivered. Looking forward to trying it out.
Thanks again!

I just picked up a used one from the forum here and am curious to try it. Plug it in, pair it, and good to go I assume? Does it plug in anywhere else besides the gas pedal?

Actually, all C7s don't need it. There is a lengthy thread here (do an "Advanced search" if interested) about how some C7's left the factory with the accelerator adjusted differently that do just fine, at least with the M7. Fortunately, my '18 is one of those. All the best.

I am certainly interested in reading that thread. I have never had any issues with my throttle response so I am curious. What terns did you search for?

A relatively recent (3 months, or so) thread told of 2019 models having a differently calibrated accelerator pedal that produced a quicker response. I've done a search so I could post the link, but have failed miserably . Maybe someone with better search skills than me could help...

I looked too but don't know what the key words are. I did read several threads on soler. I do have a 19Z. Certainly curious.
