Default Catch Cans....Needed?

Are folks here using catch cans and what kind of volume are you catching between oil changes? I have a 2017 Grand Sport without one but was thinking about it and wanted to get some opinions. Thanks.

Above is what comes out of my catch can. People seem to think this is no big deal for a DEI engine somehow!

I have come to believe that a catch-can is beneficial if you track your or drive hard often.
Can't hurt to have one, especially now that your warranty has expired.

Here is a good discussion on the subject:

Flame Red, do you track your car or drive it hard often?

My 2019 Z06 has 8k miles. I recently removed the SC cover to have it painted. This is the amount of oil under the cover. I asked the question and was told this is a minor amount and no catch can is required. You be the judge.

I have one on mine and have had it since I bought it in 2018. It does catch a small amount of oil in the can, oil that would normally go into the intake. Whether it is really beneficial or not, I just prefer that the oil stays in the catch can rather than the manifold.

One of the hot button topics here on the forum. Catch cans and CAI. Half the forum say you don't need it and the other half says to get one. Do a search and read the thousands of opinions posted here then decide for yourself. I don't have a blower nor track my car but I'm glad I have a catch can. Even with the small amount of oil it catches, I'd rather it end up in the catch can than in the intake manifold. It's your decision, your car.

The catch can accumulated 2-3 ounces of oil in about 3k miles of street driving. I’m not hard core on the matter but I’d prefer not to have that deposited on the backside of my intake valves.
