2015, 32,000 miles. Front door speakers & maybe other front speakers sound blown. I just set the system for rear speakers. Cannot figure out how the front speakers have blown as I do not play the radio loudly. Has anyone else had that problem? How was it fixed, someone mentioned a cross member in the doors causing this. Rear speakers are fine. Could it be something in the radio fader etc. If I play the DVR recordings it really gets worst even if the sound is WAY down. Open for opinions. Thanks, Mike
I've had the crosmember issue. Several videos on YouTube on blown speakers. Search for "c7 corvette blown speaker" and see if any apply to your situation.
OK. Took the car to the dealer (have a long extended warrantee & great relationship with the dealer). At the time I was getting a very loud blown speaker sound coming from the passengers dash even when the radio was off. Never heard such a buzz and vibration coming from any car I ever saw. .Could not figure it out for the life of me. Took the service manager for a ride and he had no idea either but at least he believed the severity of it. The teck changed the speakers and the noise is gone. WOW, what a treat. Said even with the radio off the speakers were vibrating and reverberation through the dash. Also want to note that when this started it would stop if the passengers door was open to the notch between closed and fully opened. Got the dash noise a few weeks before the speaker noise started. $900. on the extended. Thank God because I could not live with it and had stopped driving it. Gave my C5 a lot of work. Feel free if you have any questions. This was a weird situation.
