Sorry but what's the stationary door latch mechanism have to do with it?
What/how does it connect with the window operation?
Good question, however I cannot give you a precise answer. All I know is that there are electrical connections in the mechanism that went bad. Caused the window to go up/down, stereo to not shut off, it was a pain. If you are having these type of issues, replace the mechanism. Had to get mine off Ebay several months ago, still working great!
I'm sill having the problem.
I've disconnected the battery, tried resetting the windows, etc and it still happens intermittently. But the radio and stereo are fine.

I am assuming that resetting the windows means indexing them. I had the same issue with window indexing on its own intermittently. The radio wouldn't always stay on, but it would occasionally. Did you replace the latch assembly?
Thanks for the info. Unless I understood it wrong, another guy said he changed the mechanism on the door post instead of the door.
I'm think I'm going to try changing the battery. The battery is only 2 years old but the problem seems to pop up after I haven't driven the car for a while,,(even with the charger hooked up). Also the other day when I hit the start button, the engine cranked once then stopped. I hit the button again and it cranked and started normally.

So maybe ???
The door latch assembly is on the body of the car. The piece pictured above in this thread. I changed mine early last year and haven't had any issues since replacing. The coupe looks really easy to change. I have a vert which takes a little more effort since the top hardware is in the way. I replaced the battery prior to the latch assembly replacement, but it didn't fix the problem.
Omg this thread is the ONLY one I found that matches my exact problem. I am going to buy that part and I will report back. Thank you to the OP I’ve been losing sleep over this lol
I’m sure you could return it if it doesn’t work?. I can’t imagine this is a terribly common issue based on how hard it was for me to find one thread on it? Thoughts?
Update I found a brand new one on eBay for $47 shipped. They cal it door lock actuator on eBay, some refer to it as latch. This will help you guys with your parts search. Can’t wait to fix this.
thanks for making this post, I might still be losing sleep over the issue if you didn’t. I’m making a video for YT that will show others how to replace it. 👍

Video would be awesome. Its a tough one to wrap your head around, because the part vs. the issue doesn't make much sense.

it makes sense to me after looking at it. The door lock actuator (or latch as some refer to it as) is what tells the computer when the door is open and tells the window to index down and up.
If it malfunctions like ours did (mine even had a small metal chunk fall out when I removed it), it will send the signal to the computer to index the window at improper times. when you see that there are many wires going into the module, it makes sense that it could cause an issue. I’m just glad the part was cheap and not too complicated to install.
but at first when I read about it, it didn’t make sense to me either how that part could cause the issue.
