Headlight switch replacement
Anyone have a DIY or know how to remove the headlight multi function switch stalk? I have modded a replacement to force the auto headlights to off at all time unless switched on. It functions like a normal switch. Now I need to put it in. From pics online, & the used parts I bought, the stalk electrical connector comes off & 2 tabs get squeezed to remove the stalk from the steering column housing. I hope the whole steering column doesn't have to come out.
I'll make a DIY for the mod once I'm done testing.

The button I highlighted with green is the release. It can get stuck if your switch corrodes. Also the button is located just forward of the vacuum tubes. If your dash isn’t off I recommend removing all the screws for the driver side dash. Should be around 5 total.
