HI 2019 GS was left without any trickle charger when I was in the hospital for 3 months and you guessed it --- won't start. Will my in trunk charger bring it back to start? Is it time for a new battery? I tried to hook up another trickle charger to the battery directly and it read "error"? Help.
One other note: There are many batteries that work on this car, but I personally prefer to keep it simple and go OEM. Here is the battery you need if you're doing it yourself.
I would replace the battery either way (assuming it is still the original). It's in the age range for replacement. I replaced my 2019 GS battery almost a year ago as it was starting to act up. These cars are very sensitive to voltage and a battery that will still work on a Jeep could give you issues here.
You might get enough juice in it to start it again, but I would consider it done.
Try hooking up the charger in the trunk outlet, worth a shot. If it works then you can have your battery load tested if it fails then new battery is your only option.

It doesn't hurt to try and recharge the battery with the GM battery maintainer. When you have a totally dead battery you need to start with a low charge current until the battery has a partial charge. Then use a heavier-duty charger that can add more current to bring the battery up to a full charge quickly. Hitting a dead battery with a high current can ruin a battery that may be OK. The GM battery maintainer may take a week or so to fully charge a totally dead battery that just needs to be recharged. The OEM battery in my 15Z was totally discharged several times over its lifetime (once when it was in a body shop for 2 months) but it still lasted 7 years before giving up.

Try the battery maintainer and see what happens. Maybe it will get it back to where you can take it to see if the battery is salvagable, or if you just need to get a new one.
I wouldn’t replace without pulling it out of car and charging with a charger, not a trickle charger. I have done this twice with my ‘1, the battery still starts right up. I don’t know why people on here want to replace the battery every time. If you can’t pull it out remove positive terminal then charge . Most auto supplies will test for free.
I had a ‘19 battery in my 2014 C7and it died. Hooked it up to the battery tender and it would try to charge for a few minutes, then gave me the red light.
hardest part is getting the OEM (no handle!) battery out of its cubby. Second hardest was getting the self-contained nut on the ‘fuse bar’ aligned on reinstallment. Some say ‘go OEM’. I went to Walmart. Their batteries are made by Johnson Controls, have a solid warranty, there is a Wally in just about every town in the country and, this is a big one, the battery has a handle. Installation and future removal are MUCH easier.
If you want to try the Noco Genius 5 (May be other models), it has a repair mode. Charge and then repair, IIRC. I have a 16 and no problems yet but I changed the battery because it was original.
If you change it yourself, be sure that the little black wire on the negative side stays intact and connected. When the dealer replaced my 6 year (2017 GS) old battery earlier this year, they left the wire disconnected, and the battery warning light came on when I got home. I fixed it myself. They refunded the installation charge.
I have tried 3 different chargers[ cetec- die hard & schmacher ] and all have shown :error" or red lights. At nearly 5 years now , i'm looking into a new one that I will replace cuz I can't start it it any way. I hesitate to jump it with my new Tundra as someone said it would be too much to an old, dead battery. I'm looking at Interstate recommended by my local car repair shop that I trust. I will have the video in phone for each step and try not to lose any nuts?!! Thanx to all for info.

Good luck with the new battery, I'm pretty sure you will find that the old one is " not a die hard " and is the culprit.
I'm just "dying" to find how you make out !!
