Default Front spoiler winglets.

I need some help here. I have a 2018 z06 with stage 2 front spoiler with the lil wiglet deflectors (factory) installed on my car.

Now I bought stage 3 winglets to install but every pic and video I have seen, they are installing them on a stage 2 spoiler without the lil factory winglets. What I'm asking is, am I pooched with the higher ones as I already have the lil one which is one full price on factory spoiler.

Hard to see but it's 1 full piece

Not quite sure what you're asking but I'll take a shot.....
- The front spoiler is identical between Stages 2 and 3 except for the ends. All you do is unbolt the Stage 2 end caps and install the Stage 3 canards in their place.

Yes u are correct about the end, but my spoiler and end are 1 piece. No bolts for the end pieces, just one solid piece. Unless I'm not seeing something.

The stage 2 winglets should just unbolt. Is it an OEM splitter? Then the stage 3 just bolts up to the side. That’s how it is on the OEM. All my splitter stage 2 and 3 winglets attach that way. Maybe it’s an aftermarket splitter

Factory spilter (stage 2) but no places to unbolt the side wings. Stage 2 rockers, stage 2 rear spoiler.

No problem. Place masking tape on the end of the splitter then hold the end pieces where you want them to sit, trace the holes on the end piece onto the masking tape with a Sharpie or pen, drill a couple of holes, bolt on with nuts and bolts along with some large washers and you're done.

Won't work cause there are lol winglets already there attached to the spoiler (factory) so even if I could install the Stage 3 winglets, they would be way further out because of the factory winglets not being able to be removed

That’s really weird I have a 2019 Z with stage 2 aero and the winglets unbolt to change to the tall canards . Maybe something changed in 2018. I know some aftermarket splitters are 1 piece, but if it’s OEM I’m puzzled. How are the winglets attached to the splitter? Is it all 1 piece attached to the splitter? You may have to do something like Geewez suggested

Throw up a picture. The factory front splitter and winglets should not be one solid piece.

Something must of definitely changed with the splitter then in 2018. Maybe someone with a 2018 Z stage 2 can chime in and see if it’s the same set up as yours

Sounds like aftermarket to me not that I don’t believe you. Did you buy the car brand new?

If it's one piece, it's aftermarket and someone changed it. Most likely a prior owner dinged up the original, saw the price tag, and went aftermarket. It should also have a factory under-tray bolted to it. If that's gone, that's another sign it was changed.

By chance, are the winglets bolted on from the inside (screws going thru the spoiler, then into inserts into the winglet)?

As others have said, if it one piece it's not factory/OEM. A PIC would help us help you!

I will get a pic out today. Thanks for everything.
But I did sole research and it says some are full piece. I won't if I can cut the small wings off and install the Stage 3 higher ones.

Wonder though if cut them off of I'll have anywhere to bolt on the stage 3 ones.

🤔🤔🤔

My OEM canards screws inside the wheel well using the same screw holes that hold down the inner plastic liner. It doesn’t screw on to the splitter like the stage 2. It just butts up to the edge
