I installed a Kicker 46HS10 powered
subwoofer in the cargo area of my C7 Grand Sport Coupe. This was an incredible game changer in the overall sound. The C7 already has some great low end bass with it's factory installed Bose amp and nice woofer speakers, but I was looking for a little more punch. This was the ticket without hesitation. Install was easy and when dialed in, it hits hard. I used the C7 SubThump harness. A bit pricey, but I can be back to factory easily. You won't be disappointed in the slightest.

mind sharing the installation process with some photos? thank you
I will send more pictures tomorrow. Here is the harness. It is a direct plug and play into the Bose factory amp. It will then provide you with the R & L speakers outs without having to splice anything factory. I butt connected speaker wire extensions on the harness for length and then butt connected to the Kicker harness that comes with the HS10.
I set the Auto Turn On on the HS10 to DC. This is your trigger for when the radio is turned on. The input is set to High because the incoming signal is High Level coming off the Bose amp. Ground is ground and the power I ran to the positive post with an inline fuse.
I also purchased a "Renewed" Kicker unit on Amazon and saved big bucks and it came like new with everything.
I have a Weathertech cargo mat so my unit is affixed to the mat via industrial/commercial hook and loop. I have no plans to remove it, and the unit sits plenty low enough that it doesn't interfere with the coupe top.
Nice! Thank you for that. I didn't realize it was on Amazon for much less as a "refurb". I have it in my cart and will probably pull the trigger soon.
You had mentioned it "hit hard" after you had dialed it in. I hope you can share some pics of the ***** for your settings of the bass boost/x-over freq/gain settings. That will be great as a starting point for all of us to baseline from without having to waste time figuring out how to at least getting it to sound decent.
The problem with these things is you don't know who to believe when you read the reviews. A lot of buyers are saying it blew out in 1-2-3 months. Some say it has no punch and others say it kicks about as hard as my 85 year old grandpa. Most say it works great and has lots of bass. So who do you believe? One of those items you have to buy for your self and come to your own conclusions.
What it is installed in makes a difference. Some cars come like the C7's, signals you have to be aware of how to defeat to sound good. My Chargers left & right side were out of phase stock. made for a mess when tapping for a sub. A straight HU with sub outs is always going to sound better then tapping into a factory system.
I put one of these under the driver's seat in my Colorado. Sounds and feels great! Exactly what I was looking for. Installed package was under $500 too.
