Default Friendly inspection

I live in Southern California and I am interested in buying a Vette in Hollywood Florida, is it possible to get someone that lives in the area to go down and inspect the car for me prior to getting in contact with them. The address is 300 Oakwood Ln, Hollywood, FL 33020 the name of the place is TXT Charlie. I can give some cash for gas and for time let me know how much, thanks in advance.

Good luck. I would recommend that you post this in the Southeast Regional section where members closer to where the car is may see the thread and contact you.

Unless they have a nationwide warranty, I suggest you get someone to take it to another dealer with a certified Corvette tech for a full PDI. One thing for sure I would like to check is if the DTCs have been cleared recently and why. Some sellers do that so the problem "goes away" and leaves the sucker who bought it the opportunity to deal with it.

Diagnostic Trouble Code. I have a friend working at a parts house that scans the vehicles and sees that it was cleared say 30 miles ago, 13 warm ups ago, etc on the OBD scan tool. He asked the owner "Did you buy this car 30 miles ago?". They usually ask "How did you know?". His answer is "They cleared the codes 30 miles ago. You now get to fix it because you got screwed.".

Get the VIN number & pay for a Carfax as well as a GMVIS report from your local Chevy dealer, the more you know about a potential purchase, the better

I would change the title of your thread to get better local FL responses. Something like "Hollywood Florida inspection help please" might be a better attention-getter. I understand your reasoning - get a lookover by an enthusiast in addition to the mechanical overview.
