I store my Quick Jacks between the wall studs in my shop. I also use a rope pulley hoist to lift the jacks into place, then rest the jacks on the floor studs. To secure the jacks from falling into the work area, I used i-bolts and fiberglass rebar inserted into the i-bolts to secure the jacks from falling out of the space between the studs. This is a back saving cheap solution and store the jack out of the way.
Parts needed:
8 - i-bolts (4 used in securing the top and bottom of the jacks)
4 - Fiberglass rebar (2 - used to insert into the i-bolts to secure the top and bottom of the jacks)
2 - tie rings (used on the top horizontal stud running across the wall stubs to attach the rope hoist)
1 - rope pulley hoist (move between the tie rings to lift/lower the jacks)
Please explain your cris-cross method of securing the wheels with the zip ties.
Thanks!
These are ball transfers from Amazon. I used 3M double sided tape and then criss crossed the wire ties over the flanges on the bearings. Works good. I can't take credit for the idea, someone posted a link to a you tube video and that's where the idea originated.

Mine are from Amazon, also. Thank you so much for your quick reply along with those great pictures.
Now I get it!

old thread I know, but came across it in a general Google search. got a set of 8 off Amazon for 13$. even came with double sided tape but I didn't end up using it. Just some zip ties. worked perfectly,
rolls around amazingly well, and is only about an 1/8in off the floor. can't believe I've had these things for at least 8 years and never looked into this haha.
if your floor is decently smooth, I think these type would be better than the casters
