Seems to me if you simply adjust your mirrors correctly there is no real blind spot.
In theory, the adjustment methods (SAE?) recommended here will work, except for motorcycles and people who wander across lanes.
I finally bought the wide angle mirrors from Sandyeggo and installed them. Took a couple of days to get used to the depth perception issue, but we've had them for about three years now and love -em.
Bought a pair of those convex mirrors from the same folks. I’ve had them on for a few months and they did lessen the blind spots but I wanted a better solution.
