I have been using the VXDIAG VCX Nano GDS2 and Tech2Win Diagnostic Programming System for GM/Opel WiFi Version that I purchased through Amazon, it currently sells for $130.00. However, like the GM MDI2, the dealerships use it requires the usage of a Windows PC to run the software. The software gets updated regularly (usually when new models are introduced) and it can tie into GM's Tech Web for added support although GM sells access on a subscription basis with a minimum subscription of 3 days.
My issue with the device is software installation can be a real pain as the instructions have previously been recorded with PCs that used Chinese instead of English pictures, with the audio sometimes being poorly worded in a non-English sort of way along with the typical lack of understanding that somebody who is thoroughly proficient in doing an install has when trying to tell a neophyte what to do, they assume you know more than you do. I purchased mine in 2019 and have updated it two times since then although I just purchased a 2024 car and am getting ready to do another update. It seems the instructions have gotten clearer over the years as questions have been asked.
I have this one from Autel. So far I’ve diagnosed failing HVAC blend door actuators and done a couple transmission clear/adaptive resets. Definitely worth the money.
