Memory seat question
Just picked up a 2014.
2LT. Memory seat says assume seat
settings for driver upon door opening.
I use Auto Exit to get out of car.
Apparently I don’t have the ability to have the seat
enter driving position until ignition on.
Must be a 3LT item.
PITA to open the door and have the seat move forward.
Anyone found a way to get the seat not to move until ignition on?

I did turn off the Memory button.
Still use the Exit function.
Will see what dealer would charge me.
I had it on the 2016 and really liked it.
Worked great on my 2013 I just traded for the 14.
Please post what they charge. I have the same issue with my 2014 M7. I had no problem with my C6 M6. You would think it wouldn’t be an issue going from C6 to C7

I am going to my local dealer next week for state inspection.
Will ask time and cost to do this refresh.
Primary issue first is to get ceramic pads on the car. Black Wheels look like poop from dust.

Well, the local dealer service person says they need to diagnose the problem.
Tried to explain to her there is no problem, just needs the update.
She says minimum of $180 +
I will just push the Memory button on the door.
At least the Exit function works.
I had to print out the document PI1245 and hand it to the service advisor. They don't / can't / won't keep up with all of the service notices for all models.
The Chevy document text is in this thread (just found it again):

Besides a chevy dealer, who has access to GM calibrations that could perform the Seat Memory Control Module Programming and Setup?
I am having my doubts about the capabilities around our town.
Thanks for the update on the issue. I had the same problem getting my mag ride updated. My dealership was hard to convince what needed to be done. Fortunately I had information on my phone from this forum to show them. They actually got the service manager involved and were finally able to get it done. Maybe take the information listed above in this thread, and it will convince them to look into it for you and get it resolved? Good Luck. As I mentioned I will need to get this done in the spring when I get mine back out of storage.
General Motors = Chevy, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, and Hummer.
Call any GM dealer and ask to speak with the Service Manager (not a Service Writer). I'll bet you can find one willing to look at the issue and load the software patch.
PI1245 lists the software tools required to load the patch.

Heading to Newport News tomorrow.
They have another Chevy dealer and a Caddy dealer who always has Corvettes on the lot.
Printed everything out
We'll see what happens.

Update:
Found a dealer who quoted $135.
Looks like they are charging an hour of labor.
This dealer at least took the time to track the required documents.
Will see how this works out next Thursday.
