I don’t know.
However, I picked up a 2014 Stingray Wednesday, drove 500 miles from Connecticut to Virginia.
Thursday I found out the battery is the original one from 2014. Feel very lucky.
Looking for a new battery.
The car had 17,800 on it when I left Connecticut.
ur in the range of it could go any day or continue working for another year or so or longer.
best is to just use it as you have and continue tendering (assuming u do) and till it shows any sign of weak cold starting especially if it was on tender or weird electrical issues happening.
would just use another delco when the time comes.
I thought my battery was going down when I just got the car over 3 years now, but it was just being started alot and not ran during transport so after some longer drives and tendering, its been rolling strong. even took it out and got it tested at 2 different stores and all said its within spec.
in my humble opinion battery life is 4 years but they do last longer up to and more than 6 years after 4 years i check them with my metter to see if they are holding there charge
I still have the original in my '17 GS. I stay fairly local so I'm just going to see how long it lasts. I'll let you know if it starts in the spring or not.
How much do I like being stuck in the middle of nowhere?
Do I really want someone who is unfamiliar with Corvette's and the little black wire, tinkering with my battery in the trunk?
Finally, do I want to take the chance, when it does die, that I may not have cell service where I am stuck.
I use a Battery Tender Junior, and hook it up when I get home. I have the AC Delco 42 month Battery and they last. I would think about changing it at four years.
I just a Corvette Battery tender from a Forum Member and am trying it out now.
I just replaced the original battery in my 2016 Z06 last month.
No problems with it.....just being proactive.
The battery on my C6 lasted just as long.

For those who drive locally and a dead battery wouldn't be a big inconvenience, it's ok to use the battery until it dies.
We use our 'vette for long trips, including places in the boonies with nobody around and no cell service.
In our C5/C6 cars where the battery gets baked in the engine compartment, I replaced them at 3 years.
On our C7 with the battery in the trunk, I replace at 4 years.
We usually leave our Corvette parked in the garage during winter, connected to the GM Corvette tender. When the battery is only a year or two old, the yellow "charging" light only comes on very occasionally as the car sits there, and it goes out after a couple of seconds. Now that our current battery is coming up on 4 years, I notice that the yellow light comes on more frequently and takes a little longer to finish topping off/extinguish. Our battery has its fourth birthday in April, and I plan to replace about then.
