Hello,
Just joined this wonderful site and I have a question. I have a 2017 Grand Sport Black Rose Metallic and it's GREAT !!!!!
My question is concerning Apple Car Play ......... I would like to convert over to a wireless version. There are a number of adaptors that are being sold, but as you know Corvette has it's own way of doing things. Does anybody know what adaptor works with a C-7?
I checked Amazon and there is a bunch listed that should work for a C-7, but "should" and "does" are two different things.
Has anyone been lucky enough to find one that works?
Is so, can you share it with me ?
Thanks
JM
. It works very well in her Toyota and it says it works with the C7. It's Amazon so you can order it and if it doesn't work you could return it. Good luck.
I actually appreciate plugging my iPhone in to enable Apple CarPlay because a long trip with cellular navigation and music playing can really run down the battery. Having it direct wired in while cruising enables charging at the same time.
Welcome to the forum and the C7 world! I have a 2015, so no Carplay and hence no opinion to help you.
Save the wave and don't text and drive,
You can add an OEM version for about $1k or so. Plug and play.
Not too complicated to install, just a bit tricky changing out the floor module.
It upgrades your radio to 2016. You can add factory NAV if you don't have it. It adds HD radio and Android auto/ Apple car play.
I'd suggest skipping on the factory nav unless you already have it because with the upgrade, you can access Google map or Waze for directions.
First, welcome to CF. What a beautiful GS it must be. Pics are ALWAYS appreciated. Second, I miss a CD player, but decided to go the Sirius XM route through the radio and have to say I am very pleased. The car came to me this way. Lots of channels to choose from and the buttons set like old school radio. $6.a month, if you ask nicely. They do try to increase it every year and every year I am "allowed" to continue at $6 a month! I gotta have tunes in my car and the satellite is always on.

Thanks I have heard of the $1000 upgrade for 2014/2015 to add CarPlay. I don’t miss it much because I have the factory nav w/the latest upgrade. Is it true that you will lose the ability to adjust some settings? (I don’t remember which settings). Grateful for your reply about your experience and hopefully I haven’t high jacked this thread…

you will lose the NPP screen settings in the 2014 only if you have NPP. You can still control them with the dial control though.
2015s are not affected. You retain all settings.
