What engine oil do you recommend for 2019 Grand Sport?'
A previous Forum sticky" quoted a message to dealers that recommended using Mobil 1 for oil changes, under the Chevrolet Customer Care program, on 2014-2015 C7 Corvettes. That message was dated 2015.
My 2019 Owner's Manual says something different... recommending AC Delco oil.
What do you recommend?
Mobil 1 0W40 was the factory fill and is what is carried at GM dealerships. The AC Delco oil is the same thing. You can use other oils as long as they meet the Dexos2 specifications. For your car, you can use any Dexos2 5W30 and 0W40 on the street or on the track you can use 0W40 or 15W50. The ZR1 needs to have 15W50 when used on the track. The 0W40 oil gets you around the GM OM requirement of changing from 5W30 to 15W50 and back to 5W30 when taking the car to a track event for a few days.
My next oil change I will change from Mobil1 Dexos, 5*W-30 to the Mobil 1 Dexos, 0*W-40. Being in Colorado the 0 degree oil will be better for cold weather plus being a little thicker when warmed up,,,,,, 40 weight.

How much better? Do you get low enough temperature where 0W will help? How much more, if at all, will 40 help if you aren't on the track?
From what I understand the 0W-40 oil is the latest recommendation from GM for normal driving. If the roads are clear I drive my car at colder temps, 20*
And you need the correct 0-40 Mobil1. The European version which is more easily found is NOT it. The current oil is called Mobil1 'Supercar' oil.
The one on the right has been replaced in the last year or so w/ the one on the left.
