I see a lot of people upgrading their cars for performance, asking about launch modes, torque tubes, triple flushes, ect... Nothing wrong with that.
Even seen a few beauty's wrecked or smashed.
I used to race IMSA GT3 cars so I have had my fill of performance, going fast, buying parts, tires, fuel, racing and all that entails.
So does it make me strange that I just bought my first street car for me to take out and cruise in. 19 GS M7, Don't want to go fast, don't really care about modes or mods. Just want to keep her stock, polish on her. Be paranoid where I park her when she goes out. Worry about her like another one of my kids.
I am kind of like you in a sense that I am not interested in performance upgrades. The car is enough for me as is being a fun toy.
Now am I modding the appearance? You bet. Nothing big, just a few tasteful mods to make it mine.
You'll change. Right now you are in a Corvette state of shock from the purchase . You will come to your censes soon !!
Good luck with your purchase !!

Not at all. I have a 2013 800hp SS that's my drag car and my Z06 is my garage queen. The Cadillac is my daily. I enjoy a track monster, a luxury daily, and my Z06 once a week car. Life is good
Nope. Nothing wrong with you. The Vette is a sweet ride in any form, be it base stock or something you chain to the floor of your garage and feed raw meat. You do you, and enjoy the ride! And wave.
Since you ask... "No." I may better have a feel for your street car interest than many since I raced for 30 years at/on the Bonneville Salt Flats, going far, far faster than I ever could on the streets. Yeah, I sometimes did so successfully, other times blowing up engines in all sorts of fascinating ways. Plus, when young I had a friend permanently disabled from a stupid street shenanigan. So, I like cars (I've way too may) for the street that can successfully get out of their own tracks when I need them to, but that's all the performance I need not racing. Enjoy the Vette.
I would bet the majority of owners are like you. We're on an enthusiast forum here with a small number of owners represented. Of course the people on here are much more into mods then the average owner. Least that's what I'm thinking.

I completely understand. After spending 20+ years slowly doing a bumper-to-bumper frame-on resto on a 63 vert, I am completely satisfied to do a few small tasteful visual mods and let it go at that. My 19 GS M7 vert is perfect for me just the way it is. No more wrenching. Just top down cruising with my baby by my side!

A true concrete / garage princess.
Am I Strange for a Corvette Owner??
Not at all. I would love to hear some stories of your IMSA career.

I think the number one mod I see on here is all season tires.

Nope. It's your car to do with as you please for your enjoyment. Enjoy it the way you want to enjoy it. Even when I don't get to drive mine, just going into the garage to get something brings a smile to my face.
I like having a vette because I have always wanted one. I don't street race and honestly kind of hate the attention I get sometimes. I just want to forget about the world and drive around in my cool car.
Mine is not a garage queen and neither will my next one. I buy cool cars to drive cool cars and enjoy them for myself.
That's not to say when nobody is around I wont make it go BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRR down the road but I definitely am not out to impress anyone or race anyone.
The head nod's and waiving at other corvette / cool car owners (plenty of people waive where I live when you notice someone is just cruising in their cool car) is good enough for me.
