I'm new to vettes and here . I know I shouldn't mess with flood vehicles. I got a c7 off copart. Was able to contact old owner. Top and windows were half down during rain. My question is I have basically no power to anything. I manually open door and dash will light up but no power to doors, seats, anything. Car was suppose to come with key but someone stole it between me and auction. Left me the zip tie though. I had locksmith come cut new key. He tried to program new key but had issues with obd port. I checked it. It had power. Was little standing water on carpet. I'm thinking the bcm on passenger floor. Just wanted opinions.
Ya I usually do that to myself. Lol. What's the fun if it's easy. Was 15k total so I don't mind doing a lil playing even if I'm reaching. Guess I'll learn one day

I've made some expensive mistakes trying to get rich. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.
BCM is on passenger floor. sounds like you already know what needs to be done. Go look at it.
If you posted here before inspecting the passenger footwell area and BCM connections on your own, I agree you may well be in over your head and better off seeking professional help.
Hey, at least it was fresh water and $15k with fresh water could be a heck of a deal. Does it have a salvage title?
I think you will have this up and running in no time. Watch some of the Samcrac videos on YouTube for inspiration. They are very entertaining and he is a character.
What's the battery voltage? I'd probably pull that out and have it load tested. Next I'd pull out all the carpets and dry everything out. Then I'd look at all the BCM connections. They should be weather tight so if the pins all look good, I'd test for power to the BCM. After that, I'd try to program the fob again. Since the fob is not being recognized, nothing will turn on.
If CoPart advertised the car as running and if the original owner said the car was running when they hauled it away, the BCM is likely fine.
It wasn't run and drive but the dash was all on in ad. Had locksmith make key but couldn't program it as the obd he thought was shorted as it shut his machine off. I took out bcm it was corroded. Gonna start with that and don't everything out. Only power I have now it when I manually open door corvette comes on dash that's it. Nothing else. My fat *** crawled threw roof in beginning to open the door
Ya. Basically I have no power beside dash lights up when I manually open door and few interior lights. Gotta figure out moving seats as they are dead and jumper method don't work. Ib ordered bcm so hopefully that will get me started in a direction.
