Couple years ago I used Plycar to ship my 61' from the east coast to the west coast. Enclosed entire time with GPS so I could track it. Wonderful people with great results. They said it would be 2 weeks and it was on time. You could get a cheap company on a flat bed open trailer combined with a farm tractor tied down next to it for much less.
Depends on your budget and if you care for your car. https://plycargroup.com/

I used JP Logistics to ship a car from New Jersey to Southern California about 4 years ago, enclosed trailer. I can't recall exactly the price, but it wasn't exactly "cheap" but not out of line either. I did shop around. Main thing is to find a company that owns their own trucks and employees their own drivers, stay away from the brokers. JP Logistics was top notch btw, everything as promised.

Here are a few others to check out:
Horseless Carriage
Reliable
Intercity

Good Luck.

Saving this info for myself as well. Never know I may need to ship a car someday.

Thanks Jim!

Nov 2023:
I used Montway Transport when I bought my 19 GS in Orlando and shipped it to PA.
Cost $1100, enclosed transport, single level (no stack on top)
I was able to get periodic updates during the car's trip from their dispatcher.
I highly recommend. Truck driver was very conscientious when loading and unloading. A+
Their number: (313) 989-9162. and Dispatcher = (312) 818-4423.

Are any car collectors in or near your town? I'd ask them if they have any favorites.

Hi, and congratulations on your purchase! Last August, I used Road Runner Auto Transport to transport my new to me C6 from Florida to Texas. Perhaps all transport companies are like this, this was my first experience, but they use contract drivers. I had mine shipped enclosed and was glad that I spent the extra to do so (at my wife’s urging!). The company provided a rep for me to communicate with and she kept me up to date on the progress. When he got close, the driver got in touch with me and we worked out where he could unload near me. The rep at the company was great as was the driver. He was VERY careful with my new baby. Not cheap, but worth it for me. Best of luck as there are many shipping companies to chose from. Enjoy spring in your new ride!

Call the guys at R3 Motorcars in Piedmont, They ship dozen of Vettes to their customers every month. They may know the best companies to work with in SC.
