Has anyone here used an after market screen protector for the Infotainment screen ? I am looking for something for my C7 also I may want to find one for my Forestor.
Yes, I have one installed since the car was almost brand new - almost 9 years now. Wish I could find the link for you, but it was from Amazon if that helps. Still looks new.
I have one as well from Tuff Protect. It's also anti-glare while also helping to reduce fingerprints. They are also available on Amazon but you need to search by car model or aftermarket head unit model.
How's the size on this one? I got one last year from another source, but it was not perfectly sized for the screen. It was a little too small top to bottom. Side to side is fine. It kind of bugs me and my OCD! How's this one?

I also installed one from Tuff Protect, fitment is perfect, just take when installing it to get a wrinkle free finish. For my Outback I purchased an EXPEL kit for the center console which included a cover for the infotainment screen, they may have a similar for the Forester.

I don't notice any issues.
I started from the top and worked my way down.
If there was a gap, I would want it on the bottom. I just checked and there is about a 1/16th gap all the way around. No bother to me.
I've attached pictures with radio off and then on. Protector is on the screen.

I'm also happy with Tuff Protect films on my Z and GT500 infotainment screens. Unfortunately, the brand/company seems to have disappeared.
I put one on recently purchased on Amazon and am glad I did. Its by Yee Pin, wonder where that's from...
Just be careful installing it not to let it drop down the slot the screen slides down, you will not be able to retrieve it with tearing the dash apart.

Much better fit than the one I got. Since this is relatively inexpensive, I will just get one of these and replace what I've got. Thanks for posting those pics.
I also installed one from Amazon as soon as I got the car (5300 miles). Fits great. Easier to clean prints and no scratches. Get one. They're cheap insurance.
I just installed one from Amazon that came in a very nice kit with stick-on tabs to hold the glass with. It also comes with a protective film so that you can try the fit before you stick it on. It also contains a screen cloth and alcohol swabs to wipe your old screen clean with. The two stick-on tabs are essential to keep fingerprints off of the inside of the glass.
No screen protector here.
At 7 yrs/55k miles, and using the touch screen a lot, our screen looks perfect when the screen is "On", no scratches or fingerprints visible.
But when the car is off and nothing on in the screen, the fingerprint marks over the "buttons" are pretty obvious. Still no scratches at all.
If I had to do it over, I would have installed a protector right away. But that's mostly my OCD at work.
I put a screen protector on my 2014 Corvette a few days after I purchased it. No regrets and I like knowing it will never have a scratch on the screen as long as I own it.
I bought my car used and it has some marks on the screen. My guess is that they used the wrong thing to clean it with. Do you think one of these screen protectors would help to cover up the discoloration?
