Why do you want to change the rotors? The iron rotors on a GS ought to last well over 50K miles. It seems you take it easy on the brakes based on your pad request so change pads and continue to use the original rotors. All you will need to do is follow the burnishing procedure for iron brakes that's described in the OM.

I have 18,000 miles on my 2019 Grand Sport. Anybody change to Power Z26's with that many miles on the rotors?? Thanks D

Thanks for replying C5FORFUN2 and ICONIC7 !! So all you did was change the pads? Then of course break them in according to the instructions. You didn't do anything to the rotors? Thanks again!

I had the garage do it while it was in for other maintenance. They said they did the bedding. Didn't do anything else with the rotors.

Is there a way to measure what the effect of the pads are? I mean, I put on a set of whatever pads and I stomp on it and say "This is as good or better than stock." but how to measure it accurately?

If you race the car, that's one thing. If it's just a daily driver and you can't tell the difference, then "upgrading" to super duper expensive pads is a waist of time and money.
