I am in a state that requires front license plates. When I bought the 1LT, it already had a license plate frame over the stock grill. I haven't determined if it is part of the grill or just attached on top of it. I assume it came this way from the factory since it was purchased in a state that requires front plates. See the pic below. Can I transfer this license plate holder from the current stock grill to a Z06 grill, or do I need another type of license plate holder?

Whether or not it will fit a Z06 grille, I can't say for sure.

The license plate holder is held on with two large plastic screws that expand to hold the plate in place. Not sure if the Z06 grille will work with the base car holder.

Nope, it won't transfer

The stingray grill and the Z06 grill have different plates specified. The "screws" that hold the plate to the grill are different between the two.

Thanks for the replies. I will add a compatible mount to my shopping list. Front plates are so unnecessary.
