stingray widebody conversion
I did the full body conversion using factory parts. I was in an accident and needed everything except the front bumper, hood, and one door. The wide body parts are the same price so why not make the change? The biggest problem is changing the door openings they are called the aperture panel. Difficult to remove but even more to install. They are glued on and you get one shot to make the alignment perfect. The grille you see here is the original Stingray with the chrome bar painted black.
This is not a trivial process. When I did it about 2019 the parts cost $12k. I’m sure they are a lot more now. You refinishing almost the entire car, which in this quality would be all of $10k. I don’t think this process is cost effective at today’s prices and used car values. Unless your car is similarly damaged, you would have most of same cost for a standard repair.
