Of those who have installed these, can you tell me a bit about your install experience? I'd like to hear direct from the users and not just the company spokesperson.
It seems the install is easy, but my questions are more around the usability...for example if you don't want the device to be seen and therefore hide it under the dash...is it the type of thing where you set it once and then don't really need to see the display? I don't think I'd want the display visible, so "set it and forget it" would be my preference. The web says you can display it on your smart device, so I assume you have to download an app, create an account, etc.? Any other comments? What is displayed on the device (or in the app) that I would want to see while driving?
I just noticed it looks like the display is not "connected" by a cable, thus the bluetooth comment...so if that's the case and I don't want the display to be mounted, can I just put it in a glovebox/console or something?

Yes, once I installed the throttle controller at the accelerator pedal, I routed the cable that leads to the display unit under the console side trim, and I keep the display unit inside the console. If you have the newer, Bluetooth version you don’t need the display module, you can control it from your phone. From day one , I removed the display module, tucked the wire behind the carpeting and went on my merry way. Like many others have done. I have to believe if by some strange chance you don’t own a smartphone, you could set the controller to the desired setting, unplug the display and you would be fine. It won’t brick your car.
