I have had a '16 3LT Z51 that was loaded that I sold to buy a '18 GS 2LT. I really liked the GS, but my name finally came up on the list to buy a C8. I then sold the C7 GS when my C8 was nearing the final stage of production. Fast forward 2 1/2 years and I just can't get the C7 out of my head! I sold the C8 and now I'm back looking for another C7. I have located a '17 GS with Z07, Comp Seats, Carbon Fiber interior Trim, Carbon Fiber Package and some other options. The best part is the mileage is 10k. Now for the bad... I happened upon the original owners post on this forum when he bought it and sold it 6 months later for a 911 GT3. It went to another party for a couple of years and they traded it for an Audi. Now the current owner has had the car for 5+ years and put a whopping 1200 miles on it! He only took it to car shows etc... In the mean time it was backed into at a show and it had a cracked tail light bezel, scuffed bumper cover and scuffed wicker on one side. The cover and bezel were replaced and the wicker buffed. He provided photos of the damage which was minimal, but the other parties insurance sent it to Carfax. This car had a MSRP of $90k. I like the car, but don't want to overpay, but don't want to pick flysh!t out of pepper either. Any ideas on a true value?

Not really sure of a good value estimate, but with proper documentation from the owner on what happened, damage extent and repairs that were done, would not think the hit on the value would be much. Sounds like a minor event to me.
The ding on the Carfax record will hurt the value even though it was minimal damage, check out Autotrader for a value, there are hundreds of C7's for sale there, find something close to get a value

The damage was really slight. The scuff on the wicker buffed out, the bumper cover was replaced and the tail light bezel replaced.
Since the damage was documented in photographs and so slight, I would be good with it as a potential buyer. Stuff can happen when they leave the garage which is why so many don't take them out. If you love the build, get it and enjoy it. And welcome back to the C7 group!
OPO - Instead of asking the Forum, go to Keely Blue Book, Edmunds, or other known source to see what a similar Vette in your area of Texas would go for. It does not matter what the same Vette would sell for in CA or NY, look at your area, then decide if you want to spend that much. The bottom line is if you love this Vette, especially after all of your previous C7 and C8 experience, buy it and enjoy yourself. Life is too short to worry about a few dollars spent on your happiness.
That accident will lower value. Doesn't matter how many pics you got. Just like a credit report. Once it's on there, value will be effected. But having said that, I would have no problem buying a car that had minimal damage. Especially with only 10K miles.
He is asking $58k. All he has ever done with the car is take it to car shows. It has a lot of painted parts under the hood.... That stuff is of no real value to me.
I think he’s in the ballpark, granted on the top side of the ballpark Tony. You’re certainly not going to make money if you’re flipping it, but if it’s a keeper, what’s the chance of coming across one again with these options? Knowing a bit more about the car, and knowing that the carfax will always be marred, I’d offer 55k. Good luck to you

I usually keep my cars for a few years. I am not interested in flipping it, just to drive. I don't drive one much so the low miles is attractive. I have motorcycles and other hobbies that limit how much I drive one.

Not Sure it helps, but I bought my 19 GS M7 1 owner with 14K on it in Feb. Comp Seats LT2, already full PPF wrapped in 2020. From a reputable broker. No Accidents, not a mark on it, still on factory wheels and original tires, which need to go as they are old but not worn. Took her OTD at 70K so I think 90 for an 18, even a Z07 is a overpriced MSRP. I agree 60-70K I think is OK. Color has a lot to do as well, lots of black ones..
From what I can see the M7 C7 are holding or increasing in value, more so the 19s than the other years.
Good Luck Hit em low what the worst he will do counter offer..

He is at $58k, not sure where $90k came from. This one is an A8. I wouldn't mind a manual, but my wife wouldn't drive it, so I compromise....
He still had a lien. He has since paid it off and the bank has been notified of the lien release and now we wait on the title to come from the state. I'm in Texas and the banks no longer hold the title. The lien is recorded when it's registered and the title goes in the trash. Once the lien is released by the lending institution, the state is notified and they send a new title to the registered owner.
