Default Seat memory issues

Morning all. Having some frustration with the seat memory function in my 2019 GS Conv. I have followed the instructions to activate the driver memory for seats and mirrors as well as the exit settings but this function rarely works correctly. I have tried starting the car without doing up the seta belts as suggested in other threads but the issue persists. Is this a module failure that can be resolved?? My C6 never had this happen - set it once and never thought about it again for 12 years. Any help would be appreciated.

Does it work correctly after you set it, and after a while it fails, or it never works correctly?

Mine started acting up and found the seat was going back too far and hitting the limiter switch behind the seat. When setting the easy exit make the seat stop before hitting the end.

I'll try setting the exit differently. .
It's done both - work correctly a time or two and then stops, and also doesn't work right after setting it. The inconsistency is making diagnosis difficult.

YES!,,,,, Make sure the seat isn't in the full rear position.

tried with it engaged and not engaged, same inconsistent result. I have to try limiting the seta travel as suggested earlier.

Just reset the seat travel for exit so it doesn't go all the way back. turned the car off and on a couple times and it seems to be okay - for now. Have to give a few days and see if this solves the issue.
Thanks for the suggestions.

No matter what I have tried, the auto functions are wonky and sporadic. I figured my car (19 GS vert) is simply telling me it prefers the use of the door buttons. I just trained my self to use the door buttons regularly if not done automatically. The buttons never fail. I have tried everything. She wins. Just one more little flip and blip of how I like her set up when I first get in. This should be the worst thing I have to deal with!

Thanks for this suggestion. Just came back from running some errands. With the seat position adjusted per your help the entry/exit worked correctly multiple times. There used to be a bunch of clicking sounds before when the seat was going all the way back so I assume that was the limiter switch, which is no longer being engaged. Gotta love the Forum!

Cheers

I couldn't get consistent results either until I read the book. For a manual transmission, the parking brake has to be set. Works every time I do that now, and no, I don't always set the parking brake.

My 2014 Z51 3LT has no problem with seat and mirror memory but the steering column location is totally inconsistent. I've pulled the manual and reset and sometimes that does not work and sometimes it does. After getting in car and starting, I have to hit my #1 button for it to go in the programmed location, when it is working. Other times, with door closed and engine running, if I hit #1 it goes to the get out of car mode (full in and full up). I'm pretty close to Bayshore Vette's opinion, I just have to do it manually each time, but steering wheel position is more subtle than the seat. Anyone found an answer for steering wheel preference?
