Check the required oil specifications - many different oils meet or exceed that. Mobil 1 is very good but pays a royalty fee to General Motors for the exclusive advertisement.
I do use Mobil 1, but watch a lot of videos and seems Lake Speed Jr the oil guru tests different formulas and oils. Said there is no "best" oil but choose the oil that best fits your driving style
Mobil 1 makes it a chore to understand the differences in its products. I pulled this from bobistheoilguy.com :
The ESP hasn't been made for awhile and then they went to the X3 packaging. According to Mobil 1 and GM, the oil is the same. They just changed the packaging to Supercar. Your dealer will have the correct Supercar oil formula for your car.Dec 23, 2023

Thanks max. Are you saying that the Supercar oil is the same as the ESP, or that the new ESP X3 is the same as the old ESP?
Well, I found this info on BITOG. Before they went off into the weeds it looks like GM will move to DEXOS R instead of Dexos2 or 2Dexos, or whatever TF they name their spec du jour, and the Supercar oil meets Dexos R. Thusly, (as stated above by thread participants), Supercar is the best choice.
What grade synthetic oil would be optimal for extremely hot weather? I live in Phoenix and my oil is always around 220-230. I just had the coolant flushed and the engine usually runs at 205. Will 10W 30 work better than the 0W 40?
