I just purchased my otherwise awesome '14 Z51 with 50k miles a week ago and the Infotainment Screen is flickering. Unfortunately I bought the car 1700 miles away or I would be bringing it back to have it looked at. Does anybody know what could be causing this and if it's an expensive fix. Thanks in advance?

My 2014 did the same thing. Ended up having the infotainment screen replaced (thankfully under an extended warranty). When the tech was disassembling the console to get at the screen, the bezel around the shifter cracked so that had to be replaced too, also covered under the warranty. Total cost was $1300 or so.
Mine was doing that, so I replaced the cable that can become loose or get pinched over time when the screen goes up and down. It was $5 to fix it, but it took a good bit of labor to get the screen out of the car. I would try that first before you get crazy. The weird thing is that if you honk the horn, the screen might stop flickering for a bit, and that seems to be an indicator that the cable is bad going to the screen itself.
My '14 had black cables, but you will see blue cables a lot on how-to threads. The Amazon cable is a direct replacement, even though it looks slightly different. I no longer use the storage compartment behind the screen.
