Blind Spot Solution?
However, even with that adjustment, I still check-double check-triple check before making a lane change.

Recently, when I drove an Audi A6, I discovered the driver side mirror was "aspherical" which expanded the field of view for the outer 1/4 - 1/3 portion.
The main portion of the mirror, closest to door, is normal view.
These mirrors are common for some European cars.
I guess you lose the anti-fog capability, but that's probably not an issue for most of us that are "fair weather" drivers.
It's just the mirror glass portion that can be changed.

The problem is that out in the real world, we have to deal with motorcycles, tiny cars, lane weavers, and people who cross 3 lanes at once.
I bought the Sandyeggo mirrors when they first came out, I dislike the "objects are much closer than they appear" issue, but to me the much wider field of view is worth it.
