Default Soler Electronic Throttle Controller

So after seeing Rick Conti’s video I went and got that Soler Electronic Throttle Controller.

They say the install is 10 minutes. Well yea, if you can get the connector off the pedal assembly! Mine was really stubborn! Also they don’t say it in the manual, but it’s much easier if you just unbolt the pedal assembly. Really easy, just one 10mm bolt.

So once installed and I zip tied it up and went through the Bluetooth pairing. You need to do that the included controller pad. Once paired, you can control it via their app which gives you more controls. After pairing I disconnected the controller and just tucked the wire under the carpet.

So just did some testing before it started raining, but WOW! Oh boy you feel a difference! Power is almost instantaneous in the highest setting. Definitely makes it feel like you got more HP!

And the one feature which is awesome, you can lock the throttle. So if someone tries to steal your car and steps on the gas pedal, nothing will happen. Sure it can be defeated by simply unplugging it and reconnecting the original plug. But most likely once they start a loud Corvette, they won’t want to take the time to crawl under and start playing with wires. So good theft prevention.

OP. you can stuff the wires and controller under the carpet for a stealth look. It will fit.
I imagine placing it where you did would be more of an obstruction than anything else.

I don't use the display. It is stored away. I only use the app. It works perfect.

The Bluetooth model lends itself to be hidden away as you will use phone app to control it...

Great product - I have had it on my car since the Bluetooth version came out and yes, you can definitely notice a response difference in the throttle.

I just installed it today. Very impressed with the incredible improvement to throttle input!

I also zip-tied the harness up and tucked the wires behind the carpet along the tunnel.

Installation was not too bad. Just a little awkward for this 63 year old with bad knees. But I was proud that I could still contort myself enough to get the job done. I also recommend unbolting the pedal assembly to get to the connectors more easily.

I did not know there was another way. It only takes 5 minutes, if that, to get the pedal assembly out of the way and 5 minutes to put it back.

You can actually reach the connection and unclip it without removing the pedal, but you have to be more flexible than me. The Soler instructions actually indicate this. I tried it and was able to pull up the red clip, but couldn't depress the tab enough to pull up on the connector. Removing the pedal assembly is indeed the best way! Not sure why Soler Performance doesn't recommend this.
