I had an 05 C6 for 18 years and it was a great car. The C7 has many features that are very impressive and every generation gets a little better. Post some pictures if you buy it!

That's what I've had for 5+ years since new (1LT), and zero issues.

Not sure I would go along with that. First few drives, sure. Wife got an A8 with HUD. Now when I go back to my 2017 F250 and DON'T have it, it takes a few seconds to realize you have to look down at the gauge. IMO, if you are old school, it might be harder. Get some kid that doesn't have any experience and he'd be able to learn it since he doesn't have to unlearn anything.

Cooled seats aren't every going to be as good as the AC blasting at your face. I have used it in summer. It does make a difference between having and not, IMO. We do use the heated seats in winter.

People always say that but is it really true? It isn't less to go wrong but less that can POSSIBLY go wrong. Personally, I have spent more money maintaining any car I owned for engine, brakes and drivetrain issues than all my accessories combined and I do play with them. Only a couple of AC system issues over the last few decades.

I'd definitely want the 2LT since I know the 1LT is going to come with a bunch of regret that I didn't. I definitely use my front cameras for any parking lot with a bump and love the trunk pull down so it doesn't have to be slammed shut, for example.

The only things that I found are too cost prohibitive were: HUD and front camera. I still have the base seats because I fit into them better...

Now I am enjoying the problem free driving...
Can you define "easily added"? Is mag ride simple as different shocks? How did you add 460HP? I don't think you can add blind spot mirrors without losing the auto tint feature or can you? Nav and PDR, probably no interest but how did you get NPP to work? Was the harness sitting under the carpet for the heated seats? I added power seats to my C4 passenger seat by replacing the seat and fishing out the harness, IIRC. What I am especially interested in is blind spot detection since I don't think it came with it and if not too difficult, I would be interested myself.

I especially want the front cameras when it comes to a car this low slung.

If you added all these systems, isn't it going to make it less problem free? IOW, how is it better than my car that came with the features? I would think it would be LESS reliable since it might not play nice together.

Must haves I would instead get the Z51 package. Better oil cooling, better brakes, sways bars, better suspension.

Nope! Buy and enjoy! The 2019 is the best Corvette made to date! You'll love getting out of that old 2011 last model, that I promise you! 👍

When I first ordered the 2019, I selected the 1LT trim package and associated price. Then in menu fashion I selected the extra options that I wanted (Mag ride, NPP, PDR etc) and paid for them individually. I did not buy HUD and the Front Camera etc because they only came with the 2LT package. When you get NPP it also gives you the 5 extra horse power... I used aftermarket options to get the heated seats and blind spot detection.

Agree with the above with one minor exception. I love the HUD! I don’t find it a bit distracting and it’s one of my favorite options. Was a must have for me. Like they say, different strokes for different folks. 😀

You will be much happier with a 2LT and often found in the same price range. Pass on a 3LT.

I know I would be unhappy with the 1LT when I see the features the better cars have that I want. Better to have it and not need it than to not have it and wish you did.

I didn’t even consider a 3LT after seeing some of the pics and reading all the comments about the dash delaminating problems. I’m sure the majority of them will be fine, but just wasn’t worth the risk for me.

I'm not really concerned about the leather so the risk is way more than I want. That said, someone might love it and be willing to take the risk. Hard to say.

I wouldn't have a modern Corvette that wasn't a 3LT or 4LT. I've never had problem one with a 3LT...

Get the GS, It's better in every way over a C6 in ride, handling and IMHO looks. The only thing you'll be missing is front cameras, heated and cooled seats and PDR/Nav. All GS's have mag ride. I'm surprised so many posts didn't know that. The M7 is the way to go as it will never go into V4 mode unless you select it and you won't have to worry about the auto trans problems of the C7 Good luck!

Your C6 GS is rapidly becoming a classic, especially w the M6. A classic, raw muscle car with beautiful lines. Sports cars shouldnt feel refined.
If youre a "gadget" guy and need cameras, theft systems and heated seats in a sports car than maybe the C7 is the one. I personally cant get over the cramped interior with the weird "bar" seperating you from your passenger. Or the square awkward body lines and the ugly rear end.
Alot of guys regret "upgrading" to the C7...

C6 FTW

aklim is providing good advice.
please realize, there are lots of C7 Corvettes out there. Don’t settle for anything. If you don’t see everything you want, such as 2LT which is highly desirable, keep looking. Prices drop in the Fall and Winter. And I love having the HUD
