Our 2017 Z51 has the rear receiver like yours.
We also have the front receiver, it looks like the grill is in the way but there is a small section of the grill that can be carefully popped out so it's a straight shot into the receiver hole. After reading about ours, it still took me a bit of looking to see where the removeable piece is in the grill and how to pop it out without breaking anything.
Best done in the sun on a warm day so the plastic isn't brittle.
