The pax side light has an on/off button. Push the button. On my 2014 both sides go on when I open the door, and both sides go out after a few seconds, after I close the door.
Welcome.

Both sides have an on/off button just forward of the light. As kodpkd suggests, press the passenger side button to turn off that reading light.

I have tried the on off switch to no avail. I wonder if the switch is bad or there is another issue.

OH,,,, wow. If it's acting different than the drivers side, it could be in the switch. Do you think it's stuck in the ON position?

I have pushed both sides of the passenger side light switch and it remains on. It does eventually time out.. I wonder how expensive a new switch is?

I just tried my pax side light. I turned it on, left the car, locked the doors, waited 6 minutes and it was still on. How long do you wait until it goes off?

I have not timed it but it is stays on for at least 5-6 minutes when i lock the car. I have noticed it on when I am driving also. I will probably take it to my Chevy dealer to get a new switch.

I think most of the lights in a C7 time-out in 15-20 minutes.

Mine stays on while I'm driving it. Times out when it is locked and not running. I ordered a new light today from GM.
