2018 2lt 30K PDR keeps telling me to plug in a SD card. I have plugged in 3 different cards and still get the same message " plug in a SD card " any ideas ? Thanks
Insert a FAT32 formatted SD card, Class 10 preferred, into the glove box SD card reader. Before inserting Ensure the switch on the side of the card is set to record. 32GB and smaller SD cards usually come formatted FAT 32 but larger cards may be formatted as exFAT or may be blank. Either way the card needs to be formatted to the FAT 32 format before the PDR will recognize it.
OK Thanks, but I plugged in the one from my C8 after erasing all the data and that didn't work either ??
I don't have a C8 but I believe they are formatted in the ExFAT format which will not work in a C7 as previously mentioned. You can format any size SD card in FAT32 using free programs.
Dinnows - has the PDR in this car ever worked? Above information is correct - SD card must be formatted Fat32. It can be any size - I have used up to 1TB. Note that 32gb will hold 11+ hours of recordings. Due to file size limits, you need to STOP and START every 90 minutes or so. If recording stops due to file size you don't get a warning. See SD lock / unlock switch positions below.
