Default interior question

Are the seats in the Stingray and Grand Sport the same as the Z06? I am looking at a car with red seats and will likely be wanting to trade or buy some black seats.
The car is a 2LZ it has base seats in it.

Yes. All models use the same seats. It's either the base seats or the competition seats. Unless of course you have the alcantara, but even then it's the same seat.

What about the cooled & heated options? I would think a 1LT seat doesn't have those?

You are correct, the 1LT seats do not have the heated/ventilated seats.

although the seats look the same they are not. 14-17 used the same type of seat depending on trim level, but the 18-19 use a different seat as it has a different seat electrical connector.

it depends on what year of car you have and what year of car that the seats are coming from

So are you saying the actual seat is different or is it different because of just the connectors, that's a big difference. Connections and options I know are one thing but I don't think there is a actual difference in the seats themselves. Whether you have heated and cooled seats, those seats are exactly the same, one just has a fan stuck under the seat cushion, same with the heat. So to say they are different because of how you connect the options is not really true.

you would be correct. the actual frame of the seats are the same from 14 to 19. I converted my gt seats to competition seats very easily. airbags are the same covers are different obviously the seat backs and material are different. but the connectors from 14-17 are the same 18-19 are changed

let me rephrase my answer, the seat ASSEMBLIES are different. yes you can bolt any c7 seat into any c7 period. but what good is it if you install a seat that has the different connector on it and the seat will not work.

Unless you get a NOS set from the back of some warehouse, good luck. Discontinued.
