I wish the 3500slx would have worked but car is 3521 lbs and I could have seen warranty issues if something came up, just a shame they changed it like they did, but not the end of the world, just a hit more tedious as JoeCT said

Never mind. I just measured my C7, from puck to puck center it measure 40 inches. I guess you need the one with a 37 inch, edge to edge.

I have the 5000TLX and that covers the pucks. The 5000TL has a 37" spread so you probably need to buy the extension arms from QJ.

Well, its official, I am an idiot......I bought my 5000TLX about 2 weeks ago for 3 of the 4 cars we have, the fourth being an SUV. I made sure the frame length would be ok for the three and the jack points would fit, what I DIDNT take into account is the minimum jack points!!!!! So now the car I really bought it for ,my Corvette, will not fit! I can't believe QJ doesn't have a vehicle chart you could plug your car into to see if it will work with the QJ model you are purchasing. I am going to call them tomorrow but wanted to ask if you can use the QJ crossways?? MY TLX has a reach of 66" so that would work. I am happy I read this thread as I have yet to use it and would have gotten a big surprise....so thanks to all who replied.

On my Quick jack i use removable jacking pucks , one end of the mounts/bays where you place the rubber blocks is much larger than the other . By turning it around you will get the room that you need to center the blocks so they contact the whole puck front and rear

I am not home this week to take a picture of what I am talking about , I will try to post a picture when I get home

I sure like your wooden block idea.

But I would add some 1/8" hard rubber on top of them. Wood can be slippery.

I called QJ today and asked if the quick jack could be used crossways and they said YES, so now I can use it on my Corvette. My jacking pucks are approximately 60" apart so my 5000 TLX with its 66" reach will work! I realize this might not be an optimum way for the work you might need to do but on my 3 cars I just want it so I can get the wheels off for things like brake fluid changes and to swap wheels, cleaning etc. I have a 4-post lift for other stuff, like the exhaust change I did., oil changes, and other fluid changes, etc.

the 5000tl or 7000tl is functional on the corvette, just a little finicky to get as much of each puck covered but if only using 1 rubber block it ain’t going anywhere ,

adding the extensions to a tl seems like it would be optimal for a multi car environment like yours

they have a 30 day money back policy so you should be ok to exchange I would think

This is really good information. I like the wood 2 X 6 solution. I made my own pinch weld "blocks" by sawing a small slot into the top of some hockey pucks. The cross ways use is new to me but makes sense. I also highly recommend the small castor mod to the quickjacks, makes installation much easier

Default Solved for me anyway

My solution was to get a 10’ 2x8 and cut in half, the platform if the qj is 60x7 1/2 (perfect width of 2x8) then attach 2 5” wide blocks to the bottom so the 2x8 sits firmly on the frame of the qj and the blocks don’t allow it to move because they sit in the block bays , thus allows me to easily place the unit where it needs to be and the pucks are hit square ,

will dress it up with some paint but works great for less than $20

My QJ works fine for my other 2 cars; I just have to use it crossways on my Corvette, so I am good.
