Had a Soler Performance Throttle Responder shipped from the US to the UK after reading all the recommendations and positive reviews on this forum. Fitted it today to my C7 and I can honesty say it has totally transformed the character of the car (Sport 5 is the sweet spot for me). Having owned/driven a number of European performance cars, I always thought the C7 pedal response was too slow in comparison but this has put a huge grin on my face today! And also thanks to this forum I have got rid of the chrome strip on the grille using insulating tape for less the £2! (about $2.50).
All you guys that report much improved response and changed the character of the car must have had problems with your engines. My C7 had one installed and the PO even admitted to me he didn't see much of a difference with it in all the different settings and I agree with him. The throttle response on my LT1 is instant without any add on go fast part. Totally transformed the character of the car? How much faster response do you need than what is built into the car from GM?
It's like the 1-4 shift eliminator, my C7 has one on it too from PO. Don't guys know GM gives you one built in to the car from the factory? It's called the gas pedal. Don't like the 1-4 shift? bring the revs up a couple hundred and you can have your 1-2 shift like any other time.

Congrats on a very good mod to your car. I have the Controller as well as the Throttle Body on on my car and it has made a big difference in the responsiveness of the car.
Love my Soler TC too for all the same reasons others have stated over time. Sport 5 or 6 works for me depending on the mood. And zero problems with my engine at all.

I suspect the C7 throttle response is more noticeable when you move to a C7 from another performance car and have that like-for-like comparison. My Peugeot RCZ has a quicker throttle response than the 'stock' C7 and it's hardly a supercar.

Ah, well then there must have been something wrong with the unit you had or something you missed because its night and day with the Soler throttle controller installed and set to any mode above OEM...
Night and day difference? Are you sure that isn't your wallet telling you this? If the factory throttle response was as poor as some claim it would have felt like a 6 cyl with the timing way off. But as long as you folks are happy that's what matters I guess. I'm quite satisfied with the factory throttle response.
Reminds me of the Audio world where guys spend $3,000 on a set of 8 ft. "New copper-head intertwined 4 layer shielded gold plated type 6 fully insulated speaker cables" and guys say they hear a night and day difference in their system now, even their wife can hear the difference. And be sure to get those new cables up off the carpet with "cable risers" made out of fully insulated, non contact, non transferring material so that your new cables won't pick up any static from the carpet or you may not get the full effect of our new cables!!!
Another guy claimed he removed a decal off his tonearm counterweight and heard a "world of difference, like a night and day difference"!!!
The aftermarket industry is full of parts and gadgets and claim to improve on stock systems from home, auto, audio, you name it and maybe some do improve things a bit but most of it is pure BS being sold to willing buyers.

Interesting question then... how many C7 owners on this forum have removed the throttle controller or had buyers remorse buying this 'gadget' which apparently makes no significant difference?

Hey, don't mean to start an arguing war over it at all. As long as you and others are happy with one and I am happy without one then we are all satisfied with our own cars. I suppose the comment I read about how they change the character of the car and night and day difference is what gets me. My car had one installed and I might have felt a little difference but wasn't enough to convince me to keep it.

I 100% agree. There is HUGE noticeable difference in throttle response. I have mine dialed back to 4 in sport mode. In setting 9 was way too sensitive for daily street driving.
